Orchid Series

In this series of work, I have been drawing observationally from orchid flowers, commonly observed in Taiwan and frequently gifted. I have been combining careful observation of these beautiful orchids — a process reminiscent to me of close scientific observation – with imaginings of how the human mind and body may be meshed with plants and flowers to reflect subconscious and futuristic desires to live symbiotically with nature. Through drawing, I consider the feminine, sensory, decay, and change.
